Help USF Collect Supplies for Syrian Refugee Relief Kits
March 3, 2016
Due to a 5-year civil conflict in Syria, half of that country’s people, nearly 5 million men and women and 7.65 million children have been killed or forced to flee their homes.
Families inside of Syria are struggling to survive or make a new home in neighboring countries. Those that stay in Syria are subject to military violence of unprecedented magnitude. Many people are risking their lives to find a way to the European countries that have offered them a new home.
You can help! Through April 30, 2016 we are collecting items for Syrian Refugee Relief Kits. Donated items will be sent to refugees in need through our partnership with Friends of the Poor in Fort Wayne, and the Central Mennonite Committee, a Christian relief agency that has long-standing connections with Syria and its neighboring countries. Further information about drop off of supplies is listed on relief kit link above. For more information contact Katrina Boedeker, (260) 399-8080.
