Ready for a challenge USF? U Can Crush Hunger

September 29, 2015

This year we’re going BIG with a canned food competition between five local campuses in a “U Can Crush Hunger” challenge running from October 19 – 30. USF will be competing against IPFW, Ivy Tech, Indiana Tech, and Huntington University to see which institution can collect the most (preferably protein) items (by weight) to feed the hungry in and around Fort Wayne through the Community Harvest Food Bank (CHFB). Our goal: 100,000 pounds of food between all five campuses over two weeks!

Additional information about CHFB, this unique challenge, and the project in general is located under Special Service Days/Events. Sign up to Tour Community Harvest in October, to Serve at the Food Bank on Saturday, October 10 and learn more about the competition.  Be watching the local news for Johnny Cougar as he activates the intercollegiate challenge to crush hunger with the other school mascots!
